North Terminal Facilities
The arrivals floor is pretty functional with, apart from one coffee shop and one currency exchange, nothing but check in desks. Passengers are advised to check in and then retreat through security into the excellent shopping facilities or go downstairs to The Avenue, the retail area between arrivals and departures.
Once through security the international departure area is large and one of the best airport malls in the world. The shops range from the exotic, such as caviar House, through to Dixons and WH Smith. Remember all purchases are free of duty and VAT for travellers outside the EU although custom limits do apply.
