Where is London Gatwick Airport

London Gatwick Airport is about 30 miles almost due south of the centre of the City of London. London is a large conurbation which spreads out about 20 miles out from its centre. London Gatwick is therefore situated in the Green belt, the circle of green rural land that surrounds London and is largely protected from industrial and housing development. The airport is well served by transport connections with a main railway line and a motorway connection(M23) with the London orbital motorway(M25).
